It takes approximately 10 times longer to make a Bathrobe Company garment than an ordinary robe, such is the care and the attention to detail.
The process of creating a Covent Garden Bathrobe starts with the weaving of the cloth, which has been sourced from the same mill for over 30 years. The cloth is produced in vibrant colours that will stay fast wash after wash, year after year. It is woven from pre—dyed yarns on a jacquard loom, which in itself is unique to these robes.
Each design features a unique pattern sculpted into the weave to bring out the depth of the pile. Whilst the inside of the robe retains a terry—towelling finish, the loops of the towelling are sheared on the outer surface to create a luxuriously rich cotton velour.
